Job Corp Speaker

On Friday, March 13th, we Amber Ruppert from the Ottumwa Job Corp came present information to our Employment classes about their programming. Job Corp’s mission is to train young people to be successful in some of the fastest growing industries in our state. Their goal is to teach students skills to be employable and independent and to help them find meaningful jobs or move on to college programs. Benefits include paid education, room and board, free medical care, and clothing for work. We have had several students transition from STEP to Job Corp in the last few years.
