Community Service Projects

Our DMPS 4+ programs participate in community service and volunteer projects throughout the year. These activities not only give opportunities for students to practice work skills, but they help students build their resumes and give them experience to talk about in interviews. This year we have partnered with the City of Des Moines and Des Moines Parks and Recreation to adopt portions of the city. We have adopted the roads between Grand Avenue and Ingersoll (18th to 42nd) and Birdland Sports Park. We are responsible for cleaning these areas 2-4 times a year. Our next clean up days will be in the spring in April and May. Look for our signage in each area!
